ਫਤਿਹਗੜ੍ਹ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਇੱਕ ਇਤਿਹਾਸਿਕ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਹੈ

 ਫਤਿਹਗੜ੍ਹ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਇੱਕ ਇਤਿਹਾਸਿਕ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ 1992 ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਨਕਸ਼ੇ ਉੱਪਰ ਖਿਚਿਆ ਗਿਆ। ਇੱਥੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਛੋਟੇ ਸਾਹਿਬਜ਼ਾਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਗ਼ਲ ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹ ਔਰੰਗਜ਼ੇਬ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਈਨ ਨਾ ਮੰਨਣ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਣ ਜੀਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਨੀਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਚਿਣਵਾਹ ਕੇ ਸ਼ਹੀਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ। 

ਇੱਥੇ ਹਰ ਸਾਲ ਸਾਹਿਬਜ਼ਾਦਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਯਾਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਚਾਰ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਦਿਸੰਬਰ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੇਲਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜੇਕਰ ਇਸ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਉੱਪਰ ਪੰਛੀ ਝਾਤ ਮਾਰੀ ਜਾਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੰਡਲ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਅਧੀਨ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸਦਾ ਹੈੱਡਕੁਆਟਰ ਫ਼ਹਿਤਗੜ੍ਹ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ। ਜੇਕਰ ਇਸਦੇ ਖੇਤਰਫਲ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਕਰੀਏ ਤਾਂ ਇਸ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਖੇਤਰਫਲ 1180ਵਰਗ ਕਿਲੋਮੀਟਰ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਦੀ ਜਨਸੰਖਿਆ 2011 ਦੀ ਜਨਗਨਣਾ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ 5  ਲੱਖ 99 ਹਜ਼ਾਰ 814 ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਤਹਿਸੀਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਮਲੋਹ, ਖਮਾਣੋ, ਫਤਿਹਗੜ੍ਹ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਅਤੇ ਬੱਸੀ ਪਠਾਨਾਂ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਤਹਿਸੀਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੰਡੀ ਗੋਬਿਦਗੜ੍ਹ ਅਤੇ ਬਲਾਕ ਅਮਲੋਹ, ਸਰਹਿੰਦ, ਖਮਾਣੋ, ਖੇੜ੍ਹਾ ਅਤੇ ਬੱਸੀ ਪਠਾਨਾਂ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਦਾ ਨਗਰ ਨਿਯਮ ਇੱਕ ਮੰਡੀ ਗੋਬਿੰਦਗੜ੍ਹ ਅਤੇ ਨਗਰ ਪੰਚਾਇਤਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਖਮਾਣੋ ਤੇ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਅਮਲੋਹ ਤੇ ਸਰਹਿੰਦ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਨੇ, ਇਹ ਸੀ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਫਤਿਹਗੜ੍ਹ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ।
